ABSENCES/ ATTENDANCE:
No refunds or deductions are given for missed classes. If you want your child to progress, good attendance is very important. Classes missed because of illness may be made up in another class. Good attendance is especially important from February to June, as we will be working on recital pieces. Please make sure students are on time for class so that all class time can be productive. Students must be present the week prior to the recital. All dancers must be at rehearsal to perform in the recital.
VISITORS:
In an effort to make every minute of class time valuable, we do not allow visitors in any of our classes. We are better able to encourage your child’s full concentration this way. For your convenience, we have TV Monitors in our lobby for you to sit and watch your child’s class.
PRIVATE LESSONS:
Private lessons are available at $30.00 per half hour. This may be spent on technique, tumbling for cheerleading, talent shows, etc. Contact the office for available teachers and times.
COMMUNICATION:
In order for your child to get the full benefit of lessons, it is important that the teachers be able to devote all class time to teaching. We ask that class time not be interrupted. If you have a question or need to discuss a problem, please leave a message with the office. We will return your call as soon as possible after class. We appreciate your consideration in this manner.
OVERDUE ACCOUNTS:
To avoid a late fee the entire account balance must be paid in full each month. Students will not receive costume until balance is paid. Every student must have a $0 balance to participate in the recital. Students will not be allowed to participate in classes if their account has a past due balance of $200 or more or is past due longer than 60 days.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP LATER:
PLEASE ENTER THE PARKING LOT FROM ADA DRIVE AND ENTER FROM THE SIDE DOOR. Students should not be brought to the studio more than 10 minutes before their class and should be picked up immediately after class. Prompt pickup is especially important for the last class of the night. Young children waiting on dancers should be supervised by parent in charge and should remain in the waiting room. For my staff’s safety, please leave the front of the building parking area for staff, due to late night classes. This also limits cars from moving in front while children enter and exit the building.
SUPERVISION:
Parents are responsible for supervising all their children that are not in class while at the dance studio. Please talk to your children about keeping the waiting rooms and restrooms clean. Realize that many people have to use the studio throughout the week. Please remember to supervise your children at all times, for their safety and out of consideration of others. Food and drinks are to be eaten in designated area only. No food or drinks are allowed in the classroom.
WEATHER:
In the event of severe weather, it may become necessary to cancel classes for a partial or full day. These announcements will be called into the news stations. In general, if schools close due to inclement weather, the studio will be closed. Please call the office for a make up time in an alternative class.
